EVAN'S JIGG. English, Country Dance Tune (6/8 time). A Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The jig appeared in all four editions of London publisher John Young's Second Volume of the Dancing Master (http://www.izaak.unh.edu/nhltmd/indexes/dancingmaster/Dance/Play5630.htm), issued from 1710 to 1728. It also appears in The Second Book of the Compleat Country Dancing-Master published by Walsh and Hare in London in 1719.
