FAREWELL TO GARTLY. Scottish, Air (6/8 time). B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Composed by Frank Gilruth (1853-1915)(see also compositions by Skinner and Milne under the title "Frank Gilruth (1)," "Frank Gilruth (2)"), a teacher of commerce at Dumfries Academy from 1882 until his death. He was born at Sanquhar, Gartly, Aberdeenshire.
