GENERAL ROBERTSON OF LAWAR'S. AKA - "Major General Robertson of Lawar's." Scottish, Marching Air (whole time). C Major. Standard tuning (tuning). AABCDD. Composed by John Bowie. The tune was printed by the Gows in the 2nd Collection of Niel Gow's Reels (1788), attributed to Biography:John Bowie. Jerry Holland remembered Angus Chisholm playing this tune (in three parts) in a medley with "Killiekrankie."
