GRACE HAY'S DELIGHT. AKA and see "Accomplished Maid (The)," "Cream Pot (The)," "Kern Staff (The)," "Miss Grace Hayes’ Delight." Scottish, Jig. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABC. Nathaniel Gow adapted (with minimal changes) and renamed this tune from English origins, where it was published as "Accomplished Maid (The)," a melody that was itself taken from the comic opera The Accomplished Maid (1767), by Italian dramatist Carlo Goldoni, with music by Niccolò Piccinni, performed in Covent Garden. English and Scottish versions of the tune also go by the titles "Cream Pot" and "Kern Staff."
