GUN FLEET [2], THE. English, Country Dance Tune (6/4 time). F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody appears to have been first published by John Walsh in his Third Book of the Compleat Country Dancing-Master (London, 1735, p. 52, and in the subsequent edition of 1749), and in Daniel Wright's Wright's Compleat Collection of Celebrated Country Dances, vol. 2 (1742), published in London by John Johnson.
