HIGHLAND A' CHOILLE. AKA and see "Lord Moira." Irish, Highland. Ireland, County Donegal. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. A version of the Scottish schottische "Loudon's Bonnie Woods and Braes/[[Louden's Bonnie Woods and Braes]." However, it was originally composed by expatriate Scottish dancing master Duncan MacIntyre in the late 18th century as "Earl of Moira's Welcome to Scotland (The)." The tune is also known in Ireland as the reel "Little Ark."
