From the mid-19th manuscript collection of Church of Ireland cleric and uilleann piper biography:James Goodman (1828-1896, County Cork). See also the related tunes "I Found My Love in the Morning," "I Love You Not and I Care Not," "Miss Casey (1)," "My Love in the Morning," "This is My Love Do You Like Her?" and "Orphan (The)." The first strain is shared with "Humors of Buttevant," and see also the first strain of Goodman's "Paddy from London;" Samuel Bayard has identified this strain as one of the "protean Lazarus" tune strains, from which a number of tunes are derived.
