HUMORS OF THE JOYCE COUNTRY, THE (Sugra na tir Iose). AKA - "Speic Seóighac," "Joice's Tune." Irish, Air (3/4 time, "with spirit"). E Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Joyce's Country is a mountainous district in west County Galway. O'Neill perhaps also had the Irish collector Patrick Weston Joyce [1] (1827-1914) in mind when he included the tune.
