HUNT THE HARE [3]. AKA - "Hunting the Hare (5)." English, Jig (6/8 time) or Hornpipe (4/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB (Kirkpatrick): AABB (O'Falnnigan, Thompson). The tune is set as a hornpipe in 4/4 time in John Kirkpatrick's book, although earlier publications give it in jig time.
