JACK SMITH'S FAVORITE. AKA and see "Cabar Féidh," "Kathy Jones." American, Reel. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A version of the Scots tune "Cabar Féidh." See also the fling "Orange and Blue" in Giblin's Collection of Traditional Irish Dance Music (Boston, 1928) and other sources, a tune Paul de Grae says is much more closely related than the "Cabar Féidh" versions. Irish cleric, collector and uilleann piper James Goodman included the tune in vol. 3 of his large mid-19th century manuscript collection (p. 72) as an untitled reel.
