JOHNNY'S GONE TO FRANCE [1]. English, New England; Reel. E Aeolian (Em). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune is a version of John McKenna's "Maids of Galway (2) (The)." More distantly, it is a member of the "Old Maids of Galway (The)" or "Ballina Lass" tune family.
