KINGERY HORNPIPE. Old-Time, Breakdown. USA, Missouri. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB.

Source for notated version: Dr. Jimmy Gray (St. Louis County, Missouri), via Missouri fiddler Charlie Walden [Christeson]. Walden remarks that Gray was an oral surgeon (the inventor of Gray's Solution, used in treating gingivitis) and a fiddler who was in his 80's when Walden visited him. Walden says that Gray knew many unique tunes, and that "Kingery Hornpipe" was originally set in the key of 'A'.

Printed sources: R.P. Christeson (Old Time Fiddlers Repertory, vol. 2), 1984; p. 70.
