KINGSALE. English, Country Dance Tune (cut time). G Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'. The melody appears in John Young's third volume of the long running Dancing Master series, 2nd edition (London, 1726). Young was heir to the Playford publishing concerns. A different tune with a similar name, "Kingsail", earlier appeared in Playford's Apollo's Banquet, Fifth Edition (1687).
