LADIES OF GORMOND (HIGHLAND). Irish, Highland. Ireland, County Donegal. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'B. The tune is a version of the Scottish strathspey "Miss Rose." According to Mick Brown, the Highland was associated with the area around Teelin [1], south west Donegal.

Source for notated version: fiddler John Doherty (1895-1980, County Donegal) [Feldman & O'Doherty].

Printed sources: Feldman & O'Doherty (The Northern Fiddler), 1979; pp. 80 & 82 (the tune on page 82 is same but appears as "Untitled Strathspey").
