LADY GRANT OF GRANT. AKA and see "Athole Cummers (1)." AKA - "Lady Grant's Reel." Scottish, Reel. John Glen (1891) finds the earliest appearance of the tune in print in biography:Angus Cumming's 1780 collection (p. 2), a volume with numerous tunes titled for members of the Grant family and their associates. Lady Grant of Grant was Joan, daughter of Alexander Duff of Hatton Castle, Aberdeen, who married Sir James Grant (1738-1811), 8th Bt. of Castle Grant, Eligin, in January, 1763.
