LAND OF SUNSHINE, THE. AKA and see "John Bowe's (3)." Irish, Reel. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Bill Black (1996) notes the tune was composed by County Galway native Martin Mulhaire [1] shortly after his arrival in America. The tune is sometimes called "John Bowe's (3)," after the B/C accordion player originally from Birr, Co. Offaly, in England since 1965. Similarly, it has been called "Finbarr Dwyer's (5)" after another accordion player.
