LAVERTY'S REEL. AKA - "Lafferty's." AKA and see "Glen of Aherlow (2) (The)," "Woman I never Forgot (The)." Irish, Reel. E Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The title "Laverty's" is a corruption of "Lafferty's," the name the tune was recorded by a number of Irish musicians including Paddy Canny and Kevin Burke. However the reel is originally a composition by Nenagh, County Tipperary, fiddler and whistle player biography:Seán Ryan (1919-1985), who titled it "Glen of Aherlow (2) (The).".
