LITTLE BLACK ROSE [1], THE (An Róisín Dub). AKA and see "Black Rose," "Little Black Rose Bud." Irish, Air (3/4 time, "tenderly"). C Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. O'Daly, in Poets and Poetry of Munster (No. 210), prints two versions of the air, the first being more similar than the second to O'Neill's setting. All are in the minor mode.
