MAID OF ARDAGH, THE. AKA and see "Back of the Haggard (The)," "Sliabh Mhachaire (1)," "Toormore Polka (2)," "Tuar Mor Polka (1)," "Wallace's Cross." Irish, Polka. D Major ('A' part) & A Major ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). The tune has been recorded as one of "Johnny O'Leary's Polkas," although Sliabh Luachra accordion player O'Leary himself called it one of the "Tourmore Polkas."
