MERMAID'S SONG, THE. AKA - "Lament of the Mermaid," "Sea-Maiden's (The)," "Oran na Maighdinnn Mhara," "Orain a Mhaigdean Mhara (1)." Scottish, Slow Air (6/8 time). A Mixolydian: D Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A popular ballad in both Scottish and Irish versions.
