MISS DAWSON'S DELIGHT. English, Reel. England, Northumberland. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody is unique to Northumbrian musician William Vicker’s 1770 country dance manuscript collection. The title may refer to the famous stage dancer Nancy Dawson (see note for “Annotation:Nancy Dawson (1)” for more information.
