MISS L. STEWART OF THE ISLAND OF JAVA. Scottish. The title is a renaming of one of William Marshall's earliest tunes, "Lord George Gordon's Reel," by the composer after he superseded the second strain with one he liked better. John Glen (1895) thinks the new part is a "much better one."
