MISS McGUINNESS [1] (Iníon Mhic Aonghusa). AKA and see "Dan Backus' Favorite," "Going to the Fair," "Jim Coleman's (1)," "Liverpool Jack's," "Take Your Choice," "Terence's Rambles." Irish, Reel or Hornpipe. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Breathnach): AAB (Taylor). An early version of the tune can be found as "Dan Backus' Favorite" in Ryan's Mammoth Collection (1883). Backus was a blackface minstrel.
