MISS ROSS'S REEL [2]. English, Scottish; Reel (whole time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune appears in the 1840 music manuscript collection of multi-instrumentalist biography:John Rook, of Wigton, Cumbria. The first strain is shared with several other tunes, including "Munro's Rant," "Monro's Rant (The)," "Larickille" and "Peep o' Day (2)." The second strain differs, however.
