MY DARLING BOY IS GONE. Irish, Slow Air (4/4 time). D Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. "A favourite around Ballymoney and in some parts of Tyrone. A despairing love song was sung to it" (Joyce).

Source for notated version: sent to Joyce c. 1875 by Mr. J. McKenzie of Newtownards, "a great lover of Irish Music" [Joyce].
