NANCY'S GOT A PRETTY DRESS ON. American, Reel (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. This 'crooked' (one measure in each part is rhythmically irregular) tune was recorded by collector Alan Lomax in 1959 from the playing of Ozarks fiddler biography:Absie Morrison (1876- , Landis, Searcy County, Arkansas). "Blue Mule" or "Old Blue Mule" is a related melody.
