NO POWER ON EARTH CAN E'ER DIVIDE. AKA and see "Irish Howl." English, Air. "No power on earth can e'er divide" is Air XXXIX in John Gay's Beggar's Opera of 1729, set to the tune "Irish Howl". It also can be found in the third volume of the Dancing Master (c. 1726, as "Irish Howle" [1]), published in London by John Young, heir to the Playford publishing concerns.
