OLD CROSS, THE. Irish, March. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. The signature tune of the Old Cross Céilí Band from near Dungannon, County Tyrone. It was named "Old Cross" by fiddler Séamus Connolly for his 2002 book, as he had no name for the tune but associated it with the band from their frequent performances on Seán Ó Murchú's Céilí House broadcast on Irish radio in the 1960's.
