OLD SHARON. See "Cotton Baggin'," "Julianne Flanagan." The tune was recorded in 1936 by Sidney Robertson from the fiddling of Harry "Tink" Queer in Ligonier, PA. That same year a very similar tune called "Sharon" was played for Margaret Valient by fiddler Russell "Tiny" Wise at Cherry Lake Farms, Florida [Hart & Blech, who note that Wise was probably the same individual who was famous as "Chubby" Wise of bluegrass fiddling fame]. See note for "annotation:Julianne Flanagan."
