OPERA HORNPIPE, THE. English, Hornpipe. England, Shropshire. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune entered into John Moore's c. 1837 music copybook is identical to that published in Edinburgh by George Forrester in his Flute Player's Pocket Companion (c. 1817).
