PAT’S PARLOUR (Parlús Pheait). AKA and see “Green Jerseys (The).” Irish, Canadian; Jig. Canada, Cape Breton. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A traditional tune listed by Kerr in his Irish jig section. Breathnach styles it a single jig in 12/8 time. A cognate piece, he finds, is a jig printed by Kerr (Fourth Collection) called “Auld Inn (The).” The first strain of the jig is also cognate with "Conlon's Jig (1)," while the second strains retain some lesser similarities. The first strain of the tune is also the one-strain morris jig "Bonny Green Garters (2)/Green Garters (4)."
