PEERIE DUNTER, DA (The Little Duck). Shetland, Jig. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. "Composed (by Tom Anderson [1]) in the summer of 1975 while watching the antics of a baby Eider duck swimming just off the rock where Tom was sitting at Avensgarth, Eshaness. The 'Dunter' is the Shetland name for the Eider duck" [Anderson, 1983].
