PORT ARTHUR BLUES. AKA and see "Blues de Port Arthur (La)." Cajun, Two-Step. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BBCC'. Port Arthur is a town in Texas where many Cajuns migrated. “Valse des Vachers” is a triple-time setting of the melody. Fiddler Harry Choates recorded the tune as "Blues de Port Athur", although the tune/song is credited to Leo Soileau.

Tu m’as dit hier au soir
Que tu pouvais plus m’aimer
Oh ça, ça me fait du mal

Tous les jours et tous les semaines
Mais on peut pas danser ou rencontrer
Oh ça, ça me fait du mal.
