PRETTY MILLINER, THE. English, Country Dance Tune (2/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody also appears in the 1786 music manuscript copybook of American flute player Henry Beck. A different tune by this name appears in Bride’s Favourite Collection of 200 Select Country Dances (Longman, Lukey & Broderip, London, 1776). The first strain is similar to the first strains of "Milk Pot (The)" and "Miss Hussey's Reel."
