UP WITH AILY. AKA and see “Hare's Maggot.” English, Country Dance Tune (3/2 time). A Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The tune was published in 1701 under the title “Hare's Maggot” by Henry Playford, and was employed by Cecil Sharp for his reconstructed dance "Up with Aily". As sometimes happens, the tune became associated with the dance and acquired its name.
