Related songs, according to Raymond François (1990), are Johnny Janot's "Cajun Bandstand," Jimmy Newman's "Valse du Grand Cheneir" and Leo Soileau's 1935 "Quand Je Suis Bleu." In addition, Dewey Balfa's "Drunkard's Sorrow Waltz" (Valse de Bamboche (La)) reminds him of this tune.
