LIMERICK LASSES [3]. AKA and see "Mullaney's Favorite," "Pretty Girls of Mayo." Irish, Reel. The reel was recorded in New York in 1925 for New Republic Records by flute player Tom Morrison (backed on piano by Ed Geoghegan), as the second tune in a medley with "Rising Sun (6)." Both of the tune titles on Morrison's record are not the usual titles for the tune, at least in modern times, and are idiosyncratic to his recording. It is possible the names were there result of some confusion or miss-labeling.
