MONKEY ON A STICK. Old-Time. The title appears in a list of traditional Ozarks Mountains fiddle tunes compiled by musicologist/folklorist Vance Randolph, published in 1954. It is perhaps Thomas Jefferson "Duck" Wooten's "Monkey on a String."
