Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The melody under the title "The Ridge" was printed by publisher George Willig in Baltimore, c. 1839, in George Knauff’s Virginia Reels vol. 1. It is, however a version of the late 18th Scottish melody "Lady Hamilton (3)" or "Lady Sutherland."
