SALLY IN THE GARDEN [4]. American, Reel. A Minor/Mixolydian. ADae or GDGD tuning (fiddle). AB. This "Sally in the Garden" tune was in the repertoire of Pineville, Bell County, south-eastern Kentucky, fiddler Estill Bingham (1899-1990). Bingham resided for many years in Oregon state, but returned to Bell County later in life. The "Sally in the Garden (1)" melody is barely recognizable in Bingham's version, identified only by the first and fifth measures of the first strain.
