BARRHEAD. Canadian, Jig (6/8 time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Cape Breton fiddler-composer Dan R. MacDonald. Barrhead is a community in Scotland southwest of Glasgow. MacDonald was stationed in Scotland in World War II when he worked for the Canadian Forestry Service.
