BARBER OF SPRING PARK ROAD, THE. Canadian, Reel (2/4 time). B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Cape Breton fiddler-composer Dan R. MacDonald, who named it for his contemporary fiddler Paddy Leblanc, who made his living as a barber. See also another of MacDonald's tunes for him, "Paddy the Barber." MacDonald stayed sometimes with the Leblanc family.
