GALOPE DE L'ACADIE. French-Canadian, Galope. A derivative version of "Lord MacDonald (4)." Dionne was a fiddler from the village of Kamouraska [1], on the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region of Quebec, Canada.
