REEL DE BERLUCHON. French-Canadian, Reel (cut or 2/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'. Soucy researcher Jean Duval finds that this tune is Soucy's reworking of an old Scottish and Irish melody in 6/8, known as "King's Jig (2)" (in four parts), "<incipit title="load:spens" width=850 link="https://tunearch.org/wiki/Mrs. Spens Monroe">Mrs. Spens Monroe</incipit>" and "Mrs. Monroe’s (1)," and other titles.
