QUADRILLE DES LAURENTIDES 6ÈME PARTIE. French-Canadian, Reel (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAA'B. Soucy researcher Jean Duval finds Soucy's "Quadrille des Laurentides 6ème partie" to be a version of the Irish reel "Bonnie Kate," recorded by south Sligo fiddler Michael Coleman in a highly influential 1926 recording. In turn, "Bonny Kate" is based on an older Scottish reel called "Bonnie Lass of Fisherow (The)."
