QUADRILLE DES LAURENTIDES 6ÈME PARTIE. French-Canadian, Reel (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAA'B. Soucy researcher Jean Duval finds Soucy's "Quadrille des Laurentides 6ème partie" to be a version of the Irish reel "<incipit title="load:kate" width=850 link="https://tunearch.org/wiki/Bonnie Kate (1)">Bonnie Kate (1)</incipit>," recorded by south Sligo fiddler Michael Coleman in a highly influential 1926 recording. In turn, "Bonny/Bonnie Kate" is based on an older Scottish reel called "<incipit title="load:fisher" width=850 link="https://tunearch.org/wiki/Bonny Lass of Fisherrow (The)">Bonny Lass of Fisherrow (The)</incipit>"[1].
