Andrew Howes, BA Mus.(Hons), PGCE Secondary Music. Member of the Royal Musical Assoiciation. Born 29th Jan 1951 at Binstead near Ryde on the Isle of Wight. Retired music teache; first job, head of Music, Mullion School, Cornwall, last post, Director of Music, St John's College, Southsea, Hants, UK. Retired in 2009. General strings player, specialising in Classical Guitar and Irish/Scottish Folk-Fiddle and singing. Founder member of Romsey-based folk-bands, Skimmington Ride and Innominata. Recorded four albums and toured three times with the latter. Composer of the tune 'Josephine Butterfield' (17/04/87) in honour of her birth. Now general sessions-player in Hampshire.
