QUADRILLE DE CAMPAGNE -- 5ÈME PARTIE. AKA and see "Quadrille canadien -- 5ème partie," "Quadrille du peuple 5ème partie." French-Canadian, Reel or Quadrille (cut or 2/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABB'B". Montreal fiddler Isidore Soucy used nearly the identical tune for his "Quadrille canadien -- 5ème partie," recorded for Starr Records in 1926, the year before his Columbia release of the tune under a different name. Soucy recorded a version yet again in 1928 as "Quadrille du peuple 5ème partie"[1]. See also J.O. LaMadeline's version of the melody, as "Reel à Ti' père (2)" and Don Messer's "Gypsy Hornpipe (1)" (parts reversed).
