Montreal fiddler Isidore Soucy used nearly the identical tune for his "Quadrille canadien -- 5ème partie," recorded for Starr Records in 1926, the year before his Columbia release of the tune under a different name. Soucy recorded a version yet again in 1928 as "Quadrille du peuple 5ème partie"[1]. See also J.O.
