HUMOURS OF DUBLIN [1]. Irish, English; Jig (6/8 time). England, Northumberland. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody was first published by John & William Neal in Dublin in 1726, followed soon after by London music publisher John Walsh in 1733. It can be found in Walsh's Caledonian Country Dances, and also is contained in his Fourth Book of the Compleat Country Dancing Master (London, 1747). William Vickers' manuscript entry is an identical version.
